Why does NCPC conduct Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) training?

Over the past 5 years, the National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC) has been actively involved in conducting LCAs for various industrial sectors. Recognizing the increasing demand for skilled LCA professionals, the NCPC has developed a comprehensive capacity-building training program on conducting LCAs using SimaPro and Umberto software tools with the ecoinvent database. Leveraging its extensive experience in LCA, the NCPC provides practical insights and knowledge in this training.

Dates, Venue and Fees

This is a five (5) days programme from 26th February to 1st March 2024

  • One-Day Online Program: Immerse yourself in insights from international speakers.
  • Three-Day Classroom Sessions at Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), Colombo 08.
  • One-Day In-Plant Assessment: Explore a large-scale manufacturing plant to witness real-world applications.

Certificate and Fees:

A certificate will be issued after the evaluation of participants and continuous assessment during the course.

Course fee:

  • LKR 48,500/= per person (Inclusive of handouts and all meals).
  • The participants have to register for the programme making the full payment and enrolment will be on a first come first served basis.
