The GHG Lead Verifier Program is a professional certification designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and expertise required to lead GHG verification activities. Course content:

  • Requirements of relevant ISO standards (ISO 14064-1:2018, ISO 14064-2,3: 2019, ISO 14065, ISO 14067:2018)
  • An overview of ISO/IEC 17029
  • The preparation of a GHG Statement in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14064-1:2018
  • The verification and validation of a GHG Statement in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14064-3:2019

Program Requirements:

To become a certified GHG Lead Verifier, participants must have:

  • A strong background in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Mathematical calculations and equations based around conversion factors.
  • Previous experience in environmental auditing, GHG reporting, or sustainability management is highly recommended.
  • Climate change principles
  • Organizations and their impact on the environment
  • Environmental management and Management systems

Participants who successfully complete the training courses and pass the certification exam will be awarded a prestigious certificate, recognizing their expertise.
